This qualification is for.....

Project Managers, coordinators and team leaders who have three to five years experience in managing non-complex projects or who run a key control function of a large-scale project, requiring formal recognition of their ability to successfully apply project management skills

This qualification (IPMA Level C) is for any relatively experienced professional who is looking to demonstrate their ability.

Candidates wishing to take the Practitioner Qualification must also satisfy one of the following criteria: either have passed the APMP Qualification; or can demonstrate good familiarity with the APM Body of Knowledge (316kb) and have passed an equivalent qualification such as PMP, ISEB Certificate in Project Management, Open University Project Management Module M865 or
can demonstrate they have a good foundation knowledge of project management

Qualification Overview

APM Practitioner Qualification (APM PQ) 

Anyone with more than three years of project management experience.

Case study based opportunity to demonstrate to assessor’s an individual’s project management capability

Delegates will attend an Assessment Centre for 21/2 days and will be will be assessed:
  1. Group work (observed) - delegates will carry out group exercises in order to discuss and solve problems relating to a case study. This will constitute the majority of the work.
  2. Individual work - delegates will provide written answers to questions based upon the given case study and will also provide a written answer to a question on a topical issue in project management related to their own experience.
  3. Interviews - all delegates will be interviewed individually.
