The world of project management is dominated by two international project management Organisations, each with their own Body of Knowledge and accreditation programme. These are:
- IPMA (International Project Management Association)
- PMI (USA)

The first nine associations listed are what are considered to be 'Global' PM associations
The last category is devoted to countries that have national PM associations; i.e. specific to a particular nation.
