Those senior managers who sponsor programmes and projects (Sponsors). This includes those who have been made accountable as individuals for a specific programme or project (Senior Responsible Owners)

Anyone who is sponsoring or is about to become the sponsor of, and accountable for, a Change Programme or Project

 

Any organisation wishing to ensure that their business change leaders have a comprehensive understanding of their roles and responsibilities

 

It would be particularly relevant to:

  • Project Executives
  • Programme Directors
  • Departmental Directors

The qualification certifies that these managers understand the skills needed, and are equipped with the knowledge to lead a successful delivery of policy or strategy, or to lead an initiative or deliver to a target

Qualification Overview

Programme and Project Sponsorship PPS

The Programme and Project Sponsorship (PPS) qualification has been developed specifically for Senior Responsible Owners (SRO's) and Sponsors or Executives of programmes and projects

PPS has been developed to provide a clear understanding of what is required in the key role of Programme or Project Sponsor

 

It addresses the key questions of:

    • "What should the Sponsor be doing?"
    • "What is an appropriate level of involvement for the Sponsor?"
    • "What should others be doing for the Sponsor?"

 

The examination format is:

    • Closed book
    • 90 minutes duration
    • 65% required to pass (65 marks from a maximum of 100)
